Special Buddies

Bear Buddies, the Special Buddies program at Beckendorff Junior High School is hosting their annual "Spread the Word to End the Word" campaign this week.  The event is an ongoing effort to raise the consciousness of students about the hurtful effects of the word "retard (ed)" and encourage them to pledge to stop using the R-word.  With their pledge, students support in building communities of inclusion and acceptance for all people.  The Cinco Ranch Rotary Camo 5K is proud to be a supporter of the Special Buddies program throughout Katy ISD.
