6th Annual Katy Sunrise Rotary Run benefiting Fami

     The Rotary Club of Katy Sunrise will hold its sixth annual Katy Sunrise Rotary Run/Walk on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Katy's premier lifestyle center, LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch. The event will take 5k runners as well as 1-mile walk, roll and stroll participants through this beautiful Cinco Ranch route. The 1-mile walk will begin at 8:00 am and the 5K Run will begin at 8:30 am.  The 5K run will feature ChampionChip Timing and a USATF Certified 5km course for the running enthusiast.  The event day will conclude with an awards ceremony for top finishers in the 5K Run.

     All profits from the Run/Walk registrations and business sponsorships will benefit Family to Family Network, a non-profit organization formed in 1993 to help families of children with disabilities by providing information, education, referral and support. This fund-raising event also supports Rotary Scholarships, which are awarded to area students annually.

     Marking the growth and success of this event in previous years, we are very pleased to announce that Luke's Locker has partnered with the Katy Sunrise Rotary Club to at the race administrators by providing support and organizing the course. Luke's Locker has served the running and fitness community for over 25 years and is now operating in Katy at LaCenterra. Luke's Locker at LaCenterra (23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd) will serve as the registration and race/walk packet pickup site.
