Judge KP George - THIS SPEAKER TO BE RESCHEDULED

Judge KP George assumed the office of Fort Bend County Judge on January 1, 2019. The County Judge is the executive of Fort Bend County’s governing body and presides over Commissioners Court, which oversees the County’s more than 3,000 employees and its nearly $400 million dollar budget.

The County Judge is also the Director of the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. This office is responsible for preparing and protecting residents from disasters.

Fort Bend County is the tenth largest county in Texas and one of the fastest-growing counties in the United States. The Kinder Institute for Urban Research, a Rice University institution, has also crowned Fort Bend County the most diverse county in America.
