In 1985, Rotary launched its PolioPlus program, the first initiative to tackle global polio eradication through the mass vaccination of children.  Over the past 30 years, more than 1 million Rotarians around the world have donated their time and personal resources to eradication of the Polio virus.  Today, through the efforts launched by Rotary, new cases of Polio have seen a reduction of 99.9%.  As Rotarians like to say…”We’re this close!”
