Ann told us that Texas had the second highest birth rate and the fifth lowest death rate in 2008. The 2008 statitics also reported that the median age 33.2 vs the previously reported 36. Here in Texas and Katy, the Hispanic popluation is showing the largest growth rate. Here in Katy we are seeing tremendous growth. The number of new business, and residents is on the rise. Katy Independant School Distritct is still known for its excellence in education and continues to attract new residents. In 2008, KISD was the 13th largest district in Texas.
